From the course dashboard, picks “Create an Assessment from sources and existing lessons”. As with a lesson, the bulk of it is the wizard that opens — Choose Materials, then Questions, then Custom Instructions — before the AI drafts the questions.

When you define a question group you set a thinking level. Match the level to what you actually want students to do rather than defaulting to recall.

Remember. Recall facts, definitions, terms, rules. Verbs: state, list, identify, define.
Understand. Explain in own words, summarize, classify. Verbs: explain, summarize, rephrase, classify.
Apply. Solve a problem in a new situation using learned rules. Verbs: solve, demonstrate, calculate, apply.
Analyze. Break down information, compare, find patterns and relationships. Verbs: analyze, compare, distinguish, relate.
Evaluate. Assess a solution, critique an argument, decide by criteria. Verbs: assess, justify, critique, decide.
Create. Combine components into a new product or idea. Verbs: plan, design, produce, combine.
