From the course dashboard, picks “Create an Assessment from sources and existing lessons”. As with a lesson, the bulk of it is the wizard that opens — Choose Materials, then Questions, then Custom Instructions — before the AI drafts the questions.

Written guides

Show Results. Whether the student sees their score and correct answers after submitting.
Shuffle Questions. A different question order per student, to reduce copying. Questions are shuffled inside each block, so a question never moves out of its block.
Pass Score (%). Minimum percentage required to pass. Default 60.
Maximum Attempts. How many times a student can access and submit the exam.
Timer. Limits how many minutes students have once they start. The minutes go in Test Duration (minutes).
Schedule. Opening and closing times - the availability window for submission.
Supervision. A security layer that restricts the student during the exam. Sub-options: Block Tab/Window Switching, Disable Right-Click, Block Keyboard Shortcuts such as Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V, Block New Windows, Block Screen Capture, Require Fullscreen Mode, and Violation Popup Duration.
Violation Popup Duration. Under Supervision: the seconds a student must wait before returning to the exam after a violation.
File Upload. Lets students upload handwritten work to be graded by Collage - it is read into text and graded like any other answer.
Customize Grading. Add your own instructions for grading open-ended questions. They apply per criterion.
