From the course dashboard, picks “Create an Assessment from sources and existing lessons”. As with a lesson, the bulk of it is the wizard that opens — Choose Materials, then Questions, then Custom Instructions — before the AI drafts the questions.

Written guides

Question editing. A rich text editor per question: add media and formulas, set scoring, mark the correct answer, add an explanation. LaTeX is supported for formulas.
AI refinement. Ask the AI to improve any content - challenge the question’s difficulty, rewrite the block, or request precise custom changes with a free-form prompt.
Question management. Add new questions, reorder by dragging, and delete questions.
Add components. Not only questions: video, image, audio, and interactive elements.
Section navigation. Use the side toolbar to move between exam sections and edit each separately, including the messages students see when submitting.
Preview. View and answer the exam exactly as students will, before publishing.
Settings and publishing. Pass Score, Maximum Attempts, Timer, Schedule and the supervision switches; publish when ready.
